Honestly? I didn't even realize how much I needed a reset. Five days. That was the original plan. Camp had an extended stay in mind.

Life got tended to.

And somewhere in between, I actually listened to nature. Bonfire nights. Trail mornings. Lake afternoons. Pups underfoot. It all added up to something that hadn't been felt in years — true presence. Joy without an agenda. The trip ended differently than it started. 

Happier. Lighter. Smiling.

Frankly noticing frequent smiles — I wanted to capture this relaxed and spirited feeling and keep it going. And I wasn't alone. I noted the 'happy' on other faces too — adults just meandering, not doing much of really anything other than being outside. Playing games, wandering, swimming. That same spark twinkling in their eyes.

The outdoors became a playground again. And Hey There Smiles? That's IT — the joy and motivation behind the brand.

Hey There Smiles grew out of something simple but often overlooked — the idea that getting outdoors and slowing down isn't falling behind. It's how we reset. How we find our way back. Away from the notifications, the endless scrolling, the daily grind. Sound familiar? You're our people.
